Founded in 1996, the non-profit organization Hippopassion is a center for equine-assisted therapy, a sports and leisure center with horses, and a training center.
It serves a various public : children, teenagers, and adults from residential facilities, day centers, or special education schools.
These are primarily individuals attending group psychomotor therapy sessions or riding lessons.
Among its partner institutions, the Neurological and Functional Rehabilitation Center of Fraiture-en-Condroz has expanded its therapeutic practices for its rehabilitation patients to include hippotherapy, offering 18 hours per week.
Hippopassion also collaborates with the University of Liège, and more specifically with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Hippopassion is a full member of AMAT – Assistance and Therapy with Animal-Assisted Therapy Federation of professionals in animal-assisted therapy
The support provided by the Order of Saint Gabriel Benelux has enabled Hippopassion to contribute financially to the activities undertaken by the public at the hippotherapy center.
